A Max Levy Modern

Architect Max Levy; Portrait by Henrik Olund
To the Max! Architect Max Levy is one of Dallas' premier modernists, and his talent really shines in this art-filled house in Dallas. Set on a narrow lot near the Katy Trail, the only option for Levy was to build vertically, putting the living areas on the second level with beautiful views of the surrounding trees.

The homeowner, an art collector and philanthropist, teamed up with designer Robin Beckerman on the interiors, who bathed the walls in gallery white to show off the art, with punches of lavender and orange to liven things up. To read writer Carla Jordan's story on the house, go here. Special thanks to architectural photographer Charles Davis Smith for use of his photography.
