Extraordinary Young Talent . . . If you're interested in collecting photography by emerging artists at unbeatable prices, you won't want to miss the online sale of students' works in the award-winning photography program at St. Mark's School of Texas. I heard about these talented—and as it turns out, altruistic—young photographers when Banks Fine Art held an exhibit and sale last month benefitting victims of the recent Granbury tornado. The fundraiser, which raised $6,5000 for Habitat for Humanity of Hood County, was organized by junior Max Wolens, son of my former Dallas Observer colleague and former Dallas Mayor Laura Miller. All of Wolens photos sold (including the one above) but there are many outstanding ones still available. Photos are $100 each and tax deductible. Their goal is to raise $10,000, so check out what's for sale at stmarksphoto.org
