What's Red and Pink and Pretty All Over?

...Michelle Nussbaumer's Valentine's Day luncheon at Neiman's on Wedenesday.

Why are women in Dallas always so smashing? From far left to right, Caroline Whitman, Kim Schlegel Whitman, Michelle Nussbaumer, Fasi Boltchi, and Carrie Brittingham.

Adorable young models wearing pink.

The back of Ann Barbier-Mueller's head.

And a poppy red Fendi trench.

Raspberry and chocolate dessert.

I was delighted to be seated at a table with two talented interior designers, Laura Lee Clark Falconer (wearing a fabulous Lanvin dress she got for 75 percent off at Barneys!)

....and Deborah Walker who reminds me of Kate Hudson.

Robin Wilkes, who directs the Jil Sander boutique at Neiman's NorthPark Center, co-hosted the lunch with Michelle.

Robin's fantastic raspberry Dior pumps. "It's the year of the statement shoe," Robin tells me.

Karla McKinley and Michelle Nussbaumer, radiant in a vintage Prada coat over a Dolce & Gabbana dress.

Definitely the year of the statement shoe. Michelle's red and black strappy number is by a young London designer whose name she's blanked out on, and which she bought in a boutique at the London airport!

(Left to Right) Karla McKinley, Robin Wilkes, Michelle Nussbaumer, Janis Brous, Heather Furness.

The very sweet and beautiful Heather Furness, who is redoing her house herself. I can't wait to see what she does.

Caroline Whitman, visiting from Paris, and her multi-talented daughter-in-law Kim Schlegel Whitman.  If you haven't checked out her new company, KSW Custom Homes, you should.

The incomparable Muffin Lemak, who has one of the best houses in town.

Left to right: Interior design buff Dana Card and  A Pea-in-the Pod entrepreneur; much-loved interior designer Beverly Field.
